About Creative Workshop: Hand Embroidered Stories
Join textile artist Louise Goult to create your own unique hand embroidered artwork.
Taking inspiration from the treasure trove of creativity in our Fashion and Style gallery, textile artist Louise Goult will teach you the skills, stitches and techniques to make a unique hand embroidered artwork.
After selecting an object from the gallery to base your artwork on, you will then consider who might have used it and reflect this in your creation to tell a story.
A wide selection of pre-loved fabrics, trimmings and vintage threads will be available for you to choose from. You will learn a variety of hand embroidery stitches and use them in different ways to create a narrative in stitch. You will leave with your own unique hand embroidered artwork that tells an imaginary story about an item from the Fashion and Style gallery.
This workshop will be a small class with a supportive teacher who will build your confidence to explore your creativity.
