About Injecting Hope: Deaf Experiences of Lockdown

Join us for a film screening and discussion exploring the Scottish Deaf community’s experiences of lockdown.

Trudi Collier, Deaf Heritage Coordinator, and Will Clark, Deaf filmmaker, will present a film screening exploring experiences of Scotland’s Deaf community during the COVID-19 lockdowns. 

After the screening there will be an opportunity to visit the Injecting Hope exhibition and enjoy some light refreshments. 

Good to know

  • This event is aimed at D/deaf community BSL visitors and anyone interested in Deaf heritage and culture.
  • It is most suitable for those ages 14+.  
  • BSL and English interpretation will be available.  
  • If you would like hands-on signing support, please contact communities@nms.ac.uk after booking.

On the day

  • Entry is via Lothian Street which has ramped access, not via the Main Entrance on Chambers Street.    
  • If you are in the museum prior to the event you will be asked to leave and re-enter the building via Lothian Street.   
  • A member of staff will be there to assist you on arrival.
