The armband is woven from fine strips of silver and copper showing a complex pattern that features characteristics of flip-flop images or puzzle pictures which present the viewer with a mental choice of two interpretations. Depending on how one looks at the armband, one perceives either vertical/horizontal crosses or diagonally crossing bands and – turning the item – either concentric lozenges or double chevrons.
