Description

Captain Georges' artificial mercurial horizon, two black-lacquered steel reservoirs on three levelling feet (one broken), interconnected by tube fitted with stopcock, in fitted leather carrying case, as used on the Antarctic Expedition of 1901, signed and made by William Cary of London, c. 1870
