Coat, man's

Description

Man's coat of dark blue superfine cloth (felted and sheared wool), with gilt buttons, probably for evening wear. Coat features tightly fitting body and fold-down, v-shaped collar, centre front fastened with three gilt buttons. British, c. 1825 - 1830.
