Round earthenware dish with straight rim; fairly thin ceramic body of light colour covered with quartz rich slip, painted inside and outside in dark blue and covered with translucent colourless glaze; rim painted in brown; interior decoration: with a large centre and steep, short well, the flange nearly at 90 degrees angle; centre and well filled with floral pattern; in the centre a single flower surrounded by six leaves in a double circle; the well filled with flower motifs and leaves with long stalks; on the flange a border of hatched pattern; exterior decoration: well with an abstract pattern of drop-shaped leaves between two dark blue lines; footring with double blue line on exterior; inside the footring an inscription in Persian; blue pigment running in areas; dish is scratched all over with large areas worn on the interior; two places with the faulty glaze; exterior with areas of the flange unglazed; inside of the footring unglazed but covered with quartz rich slip which covers white coloured body; brown/yellow stains on interior and exterior; two chips on the rim; dish slightly warped.
