Description

Embroidered fukusa (wrapping cloth) divided into four quarters, each with a different geometric pattern and a central pattern: a Japanese character in two of the quarters, a spray of flowers in the third, and a cockerel in the fourth with a central crest of wisteria in purple silk, with a black brocade silk lining: Japan, by Funazaka Sanshi, 1801 - 1867
