Archaeological human remains are frequently discovered in Scotland, and often in unexpected places. These discoveries need to be appropriately managed to ensure the ethical treatment of human remains and that the archaeological potential of each new find is fully understood. A series of case studies explores the decision-making process, key individuals involved, and resources used to inform decision-making.
