About Museum Stories: Ancient Egypt

Do pupils know more about ancient Egypt than our resident curator? Find out in our artefact quiz, and take a deep dive into our ancient Egyptian collections at this unique study day.

What will my pupils do in the workshop?

The study day will have three main parts:

  • One hour show with our curator in the Auditorium
  • Object handling in the Learning Centre
  • Time to explore the Ancient Egypt Rediscovered gallery

Pupils will:

  • Find out more about ancient Egypt
  • Discover some of the secrets of our ancient Egyptian collection
  • Meet our curators
  • Learn about their jobs and career pathways
  • Challenge the curators to a quiz
  • Visit our Ancient Egypt Rediscovered gallery
  • Get hands-on with real and replica objects in our object handling session

Each class has a bespoke timetable for their day, to be advised upon booking.

Great introduction or conclusion to an ancient Egypt focus.
