What our partners say
The Glenmorangie Company
“The Glenmorangie Company is proud to have a long-standing relationship with the National Museum over many decades. This truly came alive between 2008 and 2020 through four successive phases. We supported new and innovative research into the formation of Early Medieval Scotland by a thorough archaeological examination of some the rarest and most precious treasures in the museum’s collection.
The Hilton of Cadboll stone was found very close to our home in the Highlands and is today a centre piece of the museum’s early people gallery. The lower panel of the stone is now our ‘Signet’ and adorns every bottle of Glenmorangie. Our partnership featured two landmark exhibitions and the creation of a beautiful sculpture simply called ‘Scotland’ - now part of the museum’s collection.”
Baillie Gifford
“For more than ten years we have worked with the National Museums Scotland, collaborating across a range of projects including sponsorship of flagship exhibitions, supporting conservation work and hosting events in their iconic spaces. Our partnership with the museums has evolved over the years, and the team really understand Baillie Gifford’s approach. We develop shared objectives for the partnership which meet our needs while supporting the museums too.
Our clients and staff love the opportunity to see behind the scenes at the museum, we’ve had some really special and memorable events. We’re proud of the collaborative and impactful partnership we have developed with National Museums Scotland and look forward to the next project.”
William Grant & Sons
“At the William Grant Foundation, we have had the privilege of supporting National Museums of Scotland with various projects that further our shared interest in researching and showcasing Scotland’s culture and heritage. The museums’ unique profile, reach and expertise has added significant value to the work – as well as enabling us at the Foundation to be better informed through learning from them. Additionally, our colleagues across William Grant & Sons are able to enjoy free access to the museums, exhibitions and events – a nice bonus.”
