Ticketing terms and conditions
This page sets out our ticketing terms and conditions.
Pricing
National Museums Scotland reviews its approach to pricing on an annual basis and may vary pricing based on when/where the ticket has been purchased and/or peak and off peak times.
Unless otherwise specified, advanced ticket prices are applicable up to 23:59:59 the day before the event.
Refund Policy
National Museums Scotland have a non-refundable and non-transferable ticketing policy.
Customers will only be provided with a refund if the event, activity has been cancelled by the Museum or Museum closure has taken place due to circumstances out with our control.
If an event is cancelled, the Museum will sometimes reschedule to a new date, if this occurs we would aim to transfer as many ticket holders as possible to attend on the revised date.
Concession Tickets
When purchasing a concession ticket online or by phone please ensure you bring the appropriate identification with you as you may be asked to show it (e.g. Student Id card, UB40).
Complimentary Tickets
National Museums of Scotland run various promotions throughout the year; free entry, 2 for 1 entry etc. In the event you are taking up any of these offers you will be required at point of entry to pass your name, address and phone or email address and where applicable membership number and any voucher as part of our entry promotion requirement.
Processing Fees and Postage
Tickets may be subject to a transaction booking fee and postal costs.
Third party ticket agents and touting
Tickets bought from unauthorised agents are not valid and admission will not be granted with any ticket if bought from an unauthorised agent. A refund for that ticket will not be given. If you are in doubt whether ticket agent is authorised for an event, please contact info@nms.ac.uk ahead of making the purchase.
If you are not able to attend an event, please do not sell your ticket via an unauthorised means or social network site as the purchaser may not be able to use the ticket and they may bring a legal claim against you. We reserve the right to cancel tickets we suspect of being sold through unauthorised channels.
Your data
We will record the first name, surname, email address, telephone number and arrival time of all tickets purchased in advance and we reserve the right to refuse entry if these details are not provided. For more information on how we manage your data, please see our Privacy notice.
