Celebrate all things cattle at the National Museum of Rural Life.
We're putting our bovine friends in the spotlight at this weekend of hands-on activities, talks and family fun.
Find out all about cows, bulls, milk and meat with our experts, take part in family craft sessions and meet some of the cattle on our working farm.

Please note that the Farm Explorer tractor-trailer will not operate during MooFest. The walk from the museum to the farm takes about ten minutes on rough paths which can be steep in places. More information can be found in the Access section below. Why not follow the Willow Sculpture Trail on your way up?

Access
We want everyone who comes to our museums to enjoy their time with us and make the most of their visit.
- Adapted toilets are available, including baby changing and an adult changing bench.
- During events we don not run our tractor trailer up to the farm. There is a wide but roughly-surfaced path through our fields up to the farm which is approximately half a mile in length. The path is relatively steep in places. Seating is provided at regular intervals.
- Paths leading to the farm buildings provide firm but rough surfaces, suitable for some pushchairs.
- There are disabled parking spaces at the main museum building, and a limited number of disabled parking spaces at the farm. If you require a disabled parking space at the farm please speak to staff when you arrive in the Museum building.
- The ground floor, but not the first floor, of the 1950s farmhouse is accessible by wheelchair.
- Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are admitted.
